I'm 23 and I've had mild acne since highschool. Here's what I do now: -wash my face w/ a mary kay bar soap a.m. & p.m. -use 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, then an oil-free lotion -I eat healthy for the most part -change my pillow case every 2 days -I hardly wear make up.. and when I do I use Bare Escentuals Mineral MakeUp I've tried Proactiv twice and it worked at first.. but it wasn't for me. I don't want to try anything harsh.. like drugs from a dermatologist.. Has anyone tried anything that is natural & safe that has worked?! I've been researching Acnezine and other detoxing products. Anyone tried those?! I'm in desperate need. Anyone who suffers from acne knows how hard it is. Please help! Is it true that when starting a new skin care regimen your acne will get worse before it gets better?
In May I started a skin care regimen that almost completely cleared up my moderate acne through June & July.But it august,my life got crazy and I started being lazy.By september,my acne was back. So,2 weeks ago I started my consistant skin care regimen again.But I've stepped it up--Now I was TWICE a day instead of just once.At night I wash my face with Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash,followed by Neutrogena Rapid Clear treatment pads and apply Neutrogena Anti-Acne moisturizer over it. In the morning, I use the Dermalogica cleanser again, wipe a rapid clear treatment pad over my forehead, and then apply Mary Kay's Velocity Moisturizer over it. What is better to treat acne?? soap and water vs skin care products?
Products like Noxema, Clean and clear, clearasil, proactiv, and neutragena.
